On Tree Fu Tom This Week

David's children's TV project, Tree Fu Tom, continues on CBeebies this afternoon at 17:25pm.
Former Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Sophie Aldred voice the lead characters Tom (Aldred) and Twigs (Tennant) in the new multi-platform fantasy action adventure series, Tree Fu Tom.
Aimed at four to six year olds, Tree Fu Tom is set in an enchanted world where movement creates magic. Tom appears to be a normal eight-year-old boy but putting on his magic belt and performing a special sequence of magic action-movements (known as Tree Fu) transforms him into a tiny but mighty magical super-hero.
Using a Tree Fu spell, Tom is transported into a wondrous enchanted kingdom in a tree called Treetopolis, inhabited by sprites, bugs and naughty fungi – the ‘Mushas’. Here he meets his faithful sidekick Twigs, a silly and energetic Acorn Sprite.
Tom and Twigs are inseparable as they become embroiled in amazing, action-packed adventures, which always lead to trouble, impending disaster and catastrophe. When events run beyond their control it is only with help from the audience performing Tree Fu moves, that Tom can create spectacular Big World Magic and save the day!
All of the Tree Fu magic moves that children are encouraged to copy are developed from therapeutic techniques that are used to help children with movement disorders like Dyspraxia, but are designed to assist and enhance the development of all participating children at a crucial time in their growth.

Details of all the episodes that will air this week on Cbeebies are as follows:

Monday 19th March 5.25pm - Crystal Catastrophe
When Tom and Twigs break Treetog's casting crystal due to their conflicting approaches, it's a race against time to find a replacement before all magic runs out of Treetopolis!
As their differences lead to squabbles, the rescue and their friendship is threatened. Tom needs Big World Magic help from the audience to save the day, but their mission will only succeed if he and Twigs learn to appreciate their differences.

Tuesday 20th March 5.25pm - Fungus Amongst Us
The Mushas, Puffy and Stink, trick Tom and Twigs into carrying out their mischievous plans to mess up Treetop Castle. If Treetopolis and his friends are to be saved from a mucky muddle, Tom must summon the courage to question things that he knows in his heart are not to be trusted.
As the stinky slime flows, he needs Big World Magic help from the audience to save his friends, tidy up the town and foil the plans of his fiendish fungus foes.

Wednesday 21st March 5.25pm - The Big Ranch Rodeo
It's the day of Ariela's Rip-Roaring Rodeo Show and, despite having far too much to do, she won't let anyone help her.
As Tom, Twigs and Squirmtum struggle to master their performance pieces and the mushas get to work messing things up, Ariela's ranch and her rodeo are thrown in to disarray.
Ariela needs to learn that accepting help from friends is far stronger than struggling on alone. Tom and friends need all of their action skills to save her show, but to save the day and to deliver the crowning magical finale Tom needs Big World Magic help from the audience.

The rest of Tree Fu Tom episodes 14 - 26 wil be screened later this year.
