VIDEO: Behind The Scenes With David Tennant And Kinect Sports Rivals

As reported earlier this week, David Tennant has recorded a voiceover for the new XBox game Kinect Sports Rivals by Rare.

Now, games developers Rare have released a video that looks behind the scenes as David records his contribution to the release. David's voiceover, which guides players through the workings of the game, is the first time he has contributed to a videogame. In the clip, David discusses his own sporting prowess and his memories of early gaming, and we get a glimpse of what is presumably, David's own Sports Rivals in-game avatar:

Kinect Sports Rivals showcases the Kinect sensor, which in its new and improved form scans body and face details to create a unique and very personal Champion for the game. Players are able to personalise their avatar further by choosing hair colour and style, eye colour and skin tone. The scanning and creation process takes between 4 - 5 minutes and David walks players through the steps to create the in-game you. The game includes six sports: updated soccer, bowling and tennis are joined by new challenges of rock climbing, shooting and wake racing. The improved and more accurate Kinect sensor is said to have improved play and player control immensely, bringing motion sports games into a new era.

Kinect Sports Rivals for Xbox will be released on April 8th in the USA and April 11th in the UK.
