Mad To Be Normal Producers To Attend Cannes Festival Marché Du Film

Gizmo Films, the producers of David Tennant's new feature Mad To Be Normal, will be attending the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

Arguably the best known event of its kind, the annual Festival de Cannes celebrates film projects from around the world and the star-studded event is also one of the major meeting points for film industry professionals every year. The Marché du Film attracts over 10,000 participants and offers an international marketplace for over 3000 films and projects each year. This year's event runs from 11th-20th May.

Gizmo Films, who are attending between 13th-16th May, are hoping to strike distribution and finance deals for Mad To Be Normal, the biopic of maverick psychiatrist RD Laing. David Tennant stars as Laing, leading a cast which also includes Elisabeth Moss, Michael Gambon and Gabriel Byrne. Mad To Be Normal is written and directed by Gizmo Films founder Robert Mullan, produced by Phin Glynn, Charlotte Arden, Alan Latham and executive produced by Peter Dunphy.

Mad To Be Normal is scheduled for release in cinemas later this year.
