David Tennant Review Of The Year: August 2016


We continue our review of the year today with a look back at the month of August.


Filming on the third and final series of Broadchurch continued in the West Country throughout August and David and Olivia Colman were interviewed on the set of the show by This Morning's Sharon Marshall. The interview will air when the series begins on ITV in 2017.


Marvel's Jessica Jones won at the prestigious Hugo Awards with the season finale, 'AKA Smile' scooping the prize in the Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form) category.
David Tennant & Krysten Ritter were shortlisted in Entertainment Weekly Poppy Awards.
Melissa Rosenberg told press at the TCA panels that David Tennant's performance as Kilgrave was unmatchable.



David was ranked in third place in a UK poll of teenagers to determine the Public figures they consider most influential. 
David was also named as the second most popular celebrity in his home country of Scotland in a new poll which saw more than 1,000 Scots asked to pick their favourite from a list of 16 celebrities.


David was announced as starring in the latest Dean Devlin project, Bad Samaritan.
David Tennant plays a villainous role in the feature which centres on two young car valets who use their business as a front to case the homes of their wealthy clients with a view to burgling them. The scam is working out well for them, until one day they target the wrong house and the pair stumble across a woman being held captive in a home they intended to rob.
Devlin said it was 'a dream come true' to work with David.
